How do doctors submit leave in PlanMyRounds?
In the Android or iOS app, or on the web. They choose the leave type and dates, whether it covers the full day, the day shift or the night shift, and can add a reason and shifts they would prefer to avoid.
Can a doctor be rostered while on leave?
No. Approved leave is a hard constraint. PlanMyRounds never generates a roster that assigns a doctor on approved leave, and flags a conflict if leave is approved after duties are assigned.
Who approves leave?
Admins. They see every request in one calendar, filterable by department and doctor, and approve or override before the roster is generated.
Are shift preferences guaranteed?
No. Shifts to avoid are soft preferences. PlanMyRounds honors them where it can without breaking a hard rule, and applies them evenly across the team.
