# Inviting a team member

> Add a new admin or doctor to your PlanMyRounds organisation by sending a personal email invite or sharing a reusable organisation invite link.

There are two ways to bring someone into your organisation: send them a **personal email invite**, or share an **organisation invite link** that anyone on your team can use.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only admins can invite new members.

## How email invitations work

When you invite someone by email, PlanMyRounds sends them a link to set up their account. Once they accept, they're added to your organisation with the role you picked.

## Send an email invitation

**1. Open Members**

Go to **Settings** in the sidebar, then select the **Members** tab.

**2. Start an invite**

Select **Invite Member**.

**3. Add the email**

Enter the person's **email address**.

**4. Pick a role**

Choose **Member** or **Admin**. See [Roles and permissions](/docs/team/roles-and-permissions) if you're not sure which to pick.

**5. Send**

Select **Send Invite**. The invitation appears in the pending invitations list below the active members table.

## If the invitation email didn't arrive

Email delivery can sometimes be delayed by a few minutes — or filtered into spam.

**1. Open the pending invite**

Find the invitation in the pending invitations list under **Members**.

**2. Resend or copy the link**

Select **Resend Invite** from the action menu. You can also copy the invite link manually and share it through another channel — WhatsApp, Slack, SMS, whatever works.

## Invite via a shared link

If you're onboarding a large group at once — a new intake, a department migration — it can be faster to share a single **organisation invite link** anyone can use to join.

**1. Open Invite Links**

In the **Members** tab, scroll to the **Organization Invite Links** section.

**2. Create the link**

Select **Create Invite Link**.

**3. Share it**

Copy the link and share it with your team.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Members who join via an organisation invite link are given the **Member** role by default. To grant Admin access, either invite them individually or [change their role](/docs/team/roles-and-permissions#change-a-members-role) after they join.

Invite links expire after a period. If a link is no longer valid, delete it from the Invite Links section and create a new one.

## What happens after they join

New members appear in the **Members** table and can sign in immediately. To let a new doctor see their own shifts and submit their own leave, [link their member account to a doctor profile](/docs/team/doctor-profiles#link-a-doctor-to-a-member-account).
